CAGES is a somewhat indefinable musical unit. Consisting of Nola Ranallo and Dave Bailey, (at times accompanied by additional musicians) CAGES creates original, haunting, ethereal music that is equal parts painstakingly written and scored, while steeped in live improvisation. "Avant-garde post-noise” or “experimental neo-folk”, in lieu of descriptive precision, this is music not to be classified or pigeon-holed".
